To help keep up with this growth we are looking for an outstanding Customer Assistance Specialist to join our Customer Assistance team.


A Customer Assistance Specialist collects unpaid invoices, reactivates and retains customers using good company policy knowledge, judgment, and customer service skills.


  • Places and answers phone calls with Marketing Executives and customers in order to solve credit related problems (i.e., unpaid invoices, stop-ships, etc.).
  • Tactfully deals with customers in challenging situations (i.e., on stop-ship because of returned checks, returned electronic checking (ACH) items or declined credit cards).
  • Determines a viable solution with customers involved in collection by using judgment, company policies, and customer service skills.
  • Coordinates with other departments (i.e., Customer Service, Services Support, etc.) regarding customers with outstanding balances.
  • Balances personal and departmental reports.
  • Develops new methods of decreasing bad debt and increasing collections.



  • Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • 10 key by touch.
  • 30 wpm typing.
  • Detailed work and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Sit with intermittent walking.
  • Manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, writing, etc.
  • Communicate (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone in a tactful and courteous manner.
  • Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Work occasional Saturdays based on company needs.
  • Work extended hours on the last business day of the month.
