To help keep up with this growth we are looking for a talented Data Warehouse Engineer to be part of our Information Technology team.

    Overview

    Overview: The Data Warehouse Engineer serves as a subject-matter expert for data integration and analysis on the Data Services team. Participates in end-to-end ETL and data warehouse design, development, ongoing production support, and delivery activities related to data services. Provides top level expertise on data solutions that can be leveraged across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyzes, interprets, and translates business requirements into specific technical requirements. Designs and develops solutions when necessary.
    • Maintains data standards, enforces standard development protocols, and analyzes requirements to ensure technical and standard operating procedure impacts are considered. Develops and coordinates test plans.
    • Ability to take a business problems and develop appropriate solutions; which includes (but not limited to) taking existing processes and methodologies and keep Melaleuca’s practices current as it relates to this role while staying consistent with company mission and values.
    • Participate in technical reviews and provide detailed feedback for process improvement.
    • Perform tasks that are established to the related job as well as increase Melaleuca’s standards of best practices as the subject-matter expert.
    • Limits the number of non-standard solutions and escalates with proper documentation when necessary. Ensures data quality and enforce standards and procedures.
    • Collaborates with the Data Services team and cross-functional business stakeholders to learn the aspects of the business, gather requirements and develop analytic insight.
    • With minimal supervision, perform tasks spanning the full lifecycle of BI development, including end-user interviews, business requirements analysis, integration, analytic/report development, documentation, training and support.

    Qualifications

     

    • 5-8 years’ experience in database/data warehouse management, administration, and development, with a significant percentage working with SQL Server.
    • Communication skills are critical as this position interacts closely with both business and developers while gathering requirements, designing, testing, implementing and supporting solutions.  Which includes translating technical verbiage into business related vocabulary.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Team Foundation Server highly desirable.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or related field with at least 5 years’ experience.
    • Experience with SQL Server and SQL Integration Services.
