    Overview

    The Quality Assurance Assistant Specialist is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in quality assurance activities related to Complaint Handling and Investigation. The Quality Assurance Assistant Specialist – works cross-functionally to ensure maintenance and review of events and complaints, as set forth by the FDA. They will review, evaluate, and investigate product complaints relative to the identity, quality, safety, and effectiveness of products. The Analyst will provide technical expertise and assistance in handling/categorizing complaints to comply with current FDA regulations. Duties also include compliance tracking, trend analysis, and reporting to Management. Requires follow-up internally and externally to assure complete and accurate event files, complaint detail, and product performance information. Supports complaint handling in internal and external audits and inspections.

    Responsibilities

    Essential

    • Using working knowledge and understanding of the US FDA regulations for over the counter drugs and dietary supplements, and complaint handling and reporting, the Quality Assurance Complaint Analyst ensure complaint investigations are adequate, accurate, detailed and timely.
    • Perform tasks to obtain adequate information to ensure proper documentation and closure of each complaint.
    • Handles and processes potentially contaminated complaint samples using appropriate PPE Independently scopes, retrieves, reviews, trends, analyzes and reports data using spreadsheets, graphs, and databases.
    • Ensure accurate data entry, scanning, and retention of documents to complete event files.
    • Elevate issues to management as appropriate. Write and maintain documentation as required.
    • Identify, generate and publish metrics and reports related to the Complaint Handling
    • Drive continuous improvement of the Quality System.
    • Communicates in professional and courteous manner.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Associate’s degree in clinical/medical discipline, or science or equivalent work experience.
    • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards (CFR, etc.).
    • CAPA, Regulatory and Quality Management knowledge and skills.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills, an analytical mind and the ability to evaluate and disseminate information from a global perspective.
    • Must have demonstrated ability to think strategically.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and tasks.
    • Demonstrated use of quality tools methodologies, and strong computer skills.
