    Overview

    When quality events occur the QE Coordinator will assess each incident and determine whether escalation and management review is necessary.  The QE Coordinator will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) across all impacted departments to investigate and arrive a root cause(s).  The root-cause analysis will be executed using standard root-cause analysis tools, once determined a Corrective Action/Preventive Action(s) (CAPA) will be assigned. The QE Coordinator will ensure approval of the investigation and resulting CAPA closure in a timely manner.  The QE Coordinator will also host a weekly Material Review Board (MRB) where the disposition of materials will be determined based on supporting evidence presented by the SME’s.

    Responsibilities

    Essential

    • Review all Incidents recorded in MasterControl™ and determine the escalation or closure of the Incident.
    • Coordinate the investigation of all Deviations and Non-Conforming Materials with SME’s in impacted departments.
    • Using root cause analysis tools drives to cause of Deviation(s) or NCMR(s) and resulting CAPA.
    • Ensures timeliness related to investigations and execution of CAPA’s.
    • Convenes weekly MRB to determine the disposition of materials that have been rejected or place on QA Hold.
    • Performs trending functions to supply information to Internal Audit and other Quality Systems.
    • Updates, maintains and trains SOPs related to quality event management and investigation.
    • Coordinates pulling retain samples and additional investigation samples with appropriate departments.

    • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

    Supervision of Others

    • Requires supervisory functions in terms of project management and ensuring participants complete and document related functions.

    Qualifications

     Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies:

     

    Essential

    • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year industry Quality Assurance experience, or 5 year’s industry Quality Assurance experience, including at least one year of project management or management experience.
    • A working knowledge of Federal Regulations regarding the manufacturing and distribution of drug products.
    • Experience in component and finished product inspection and/or laboratory testing.
    • Ability to work under stress.
    • Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
    • Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift.
    • Visually read bottles, product, batch numbers, etc.
    • Ability to distinguish colors, odors, taste and determine appearance
    • Ability to organize and coordinate projects.
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
    • Excellent math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
    • Computer word processing and spreadsheet skills.
    • Data analysis skills.
    • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
