Strong leader who is capable of using their understanding of engineering and technical leadership to solve significant technical problems and lead the innovation process. The candidate will have broad project responsibilities to set and influence the strategic direction of process design projects.The individual will initiate and lead technology/capability/method development to deliver key business initiatives. The candidate will work very closely with his R&D counterparts, Manufacturing and Quality to lead the vertical start-up of new products, trouble shoot manufacturing issues, develop internal scale up capability and identify opportunities for manufacturing improvements.

• Scale up of new products.  
• Technically innovate to provide discontinuous solutions leading to breackthrough tehcnologies.
• Manage the technical activities of important technical projects.
• Counsel management on process trends and developments in area of expertise
• Coach/train other engineers or resarchers
• Work with Manufacturing to solve production issues and to identify efficiency and cost saving opportunities. 
• Work closely with R&D formula development to proactively understand the making of new products in the lab, identify potential challenges for manufacturing and develop solutions and test plans before transfer of new products to plant scale. 
• Develop manufacturing instructions and standards for the plants and lead the production of first 3 batches before fully transitioning regular production to Manufacturing. 
• Provide technical support to manufacturing as needed.  
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality to validate manufacturing processes
• Identify opportunities for Process Improvement and cost savings.  
• Work closely with QA, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to resolve quality or supply issues.  
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed. 

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.  Other Engineering degrees or qualifications will also be considered when combined with pertinent process development experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading work in Process Design or Manufacturing. With a successful track record in optimization/design/cost savings
•  Excellent English communications skills (oral & written)
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under stress.
• Ability to organize and coordinate projects.
• Familiarity or experience with Quality systems and Inspections is a plus.
