Provides direction and manages the Front of House operations and the food service staff for Melaleuca's on-site restaurant.

• Takes full responsibility of Leaf and Drop during designated shifts.
• Deal with any/all customer sensitivities including menu options or accommodations of others with dietary restrictions.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills enabling customers to have an exceptional Melaleuca dining experience.
• Leads, trains and develops Food Service team members.
• Provides daily direction to food service associates.
• Controls inventory management and ordering supplies related to food service.
• Monitors labor costs within the department and provides staffing direction for daily production.
• Adheres to compliance within the food industry, OSHA, and health codes.
• Monitors and evaluates the food quality to the customers through such as avenues as suggestions and direct feedback.
• Provides back-up support through out the department - register operations, cash reconciliation, etc.
• Assists with food preparation, clean-up and serving as needed.
• Oversees, plans and coordinates food/order preparation and distribution.
• Manages all cash, receipt and accounting for daily operations.
• Places Purchase Orders and follows through to delivery of supplies and vendor payment.
• Meet appropriate sales objectives / targets.
• Ensure sanitary food preparation, cooking and cleanup practices.
• Ensure proper security procedures are in place to protect employees and guests.
• Help with catering functions as assigned or as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

• Written communications such as is required for email and general correspondence.
• Verbal communication skills appropriate for customer interaction and employee direction.  
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including standing, bending, pulling, stretching and lifting of at least 50 pounds for the duration of any and all shifts.
• Ability to plan, order, and direct employees on order/meal preparation for all produced in a typical day.
• Ability to read, write and perform math skills, as well as understand food cost.
• Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to organize tasks.
• Ability to work every position in the kitchen and to teach kitchen skills.
• Ability to do inventory control.
• Experience and knowledge with food preparation.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Food Service Team Lead or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and professionally.
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
