Overview

Supervision of Quality Event Coordinators and Complaint Specialist. Coordination of Quality Event processing to ensure quality events are effectively documented, reviewed, investigated, and CAPAs initiated, when necessary, in accordance with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Essential

  • Training of Quality Event Coordinators and Complaint Specialist on Quality Event processing and complaint handling.
  • Development, authoring, review of Policies, procedures, and forms in accordance with department needs
  • Accountable for timely processing of Quality Events submitted via MasterControl, and complaints submitted through the Company SharePoint sites (e.g. North America Consumer Complaints, International Quality Database).
  • Management of Quality Event investigations escalated to Deviations, Nonconformances, and or CAPA projects.
  • Coordinating action items relating to investigations, to include laboratory testing submissions, placing inventory on hold, notifications to appropriate department leads (i.e., Legal, Regulatory, Marketing, R&D, etc.).
  • Work with external suppliers/vendors and internal purchasing department on out of specification investigations and resolutions
  • Lead Material Review Board meetings with management for determining course of action on Quality Events.
  • Data mining/Trend Analysis and monthly metric reporting based off performance and auditing process.
  • Assist with annual product reviews.
  • Cross training departments on Quality Event and Complaint processing procedures.
  • Participate in Change Control as necessary.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Supervision of Others

  • Supervision of QA Quality Event Coordinators and QA Complaint Specialists.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in a applied science or engineering field and or 5+ years of experience in a FDA regulated industry.
  • A working knowledge of Federal Regulations regarding the manufacturing and distribution of drug, food, and dietary supplement products.
  • Experience supervising teams working in Root Cause Analysis and CAPA processes.
  • Experience using Quality Management Software (i.e., MasterControl) to manage quality related issues.
  • Knowledge of Document and product management approval and release processes
  • Familiar with manufacturing and warehouse process
  • Ability to follow written procedures and policies.
  • Excellent computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Proficient mathematical or statistical skills, especially related to trending of data.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced setting with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to work and communicate interdepartmentally.
  • Self-starter, task oriented.

  • Ability to climb stairs.
