Overview

Supervises and oversees the store operations for Idaho Falls and any other assigned locations.

Responsibilities

Essential

  • Ensures systems are operating efficiently and improves quality of services by analyzing problems, creating solutions, etc.
  • Ability to run daily reports, conduct surveys and analyze results.
  • Increase average order size by using and training employees on how to use various sales techniques.
  • Prepares staff schedules
  • Prepares and makes store batch reports and daily bank deposits
  • Oversees the warehouse space by ordering and receiving sufficient products to maintain correct inventories
  • Orders supplies necessary for the daily functions of the store.
  • Ensures desired amounts of product are on the shelves by ordering and checking inventory levels and stocking as necessary
  • Performs training, counseling, performance evaluations and disciplining of employees.
  • Assembles and displays product specials and graphics in a pleasing professional presentation
  • Oversees customer service duties by using and instructing associates on proper professional techniques.
  • Answers customer inquiries and questions with knowledgeable and professional assistance
  • Logs customer orders accurately and courteously by inputting correct data and being familiar with all products, policies, and procedures, etc.
  • Logs daily reports and furnishes data daily/weekly/monthly
  • Works with staff on the floor daily and performs all tasks as necessary, while overseeing activities
  • Logs all product returns and insures correct amounts are delivered to the plant returns department.
  • Performs and oversees correct input of returns data in customer file for proper crediting of customer account.
  • Maintains a clean professional store atmosphere by cleaning, arranging, and displaying of product
  • Prepares and ships any requested customer orders
  • Prepares and transfers items between plant and store facilities as needed
  • Analyzes and creates new ideas for better performance in any area as needed by bringing those ideas to the attention of the National Stores Manager for discussion and implementation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

 

Supervision of Others

  • Supervises related staff by performing such duties as recommending employment status (i.e., hiring, terminating, promotions, issuing warnings, etc.). In addition, these duties will be performed: interviewing applicants, counseling, training, scheduling, resolving conflicts, coordinating with other departments as necessary, conducting employee meetings, recommending wage increases, etc.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Retail management/team lead experience
  • Experience leading a team of 5+ employees
  • Ability to manage stressful situations, remain calm and professions, and able to deescalate a distressed customer
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (between 8am-6:30pm, 7:30pm on month end) including 1-2 Saturdays per month
  • 10 key by touch
  • 45wpm typing
  • Ability to work under stress
  • Detailed work and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and professionally
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 40lbs. Waist high on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift
  • Manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, writing, etc.
  • Visually read reports computer screen, etc.
  • Ability to gain a thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures, as well as the company Marketing plan
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy
  • Professional presentation in dress, communication, etc.
  • Creative abilities in store presentation/display
