Overview

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious warehouse associate to operate a Cherry Picker on 1st Shift in our distribution center. Prior experience operating a cherry picker or similar equipment (cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, stretch wrappers) preferred. Forklift experience is a plus, but not required - we provide full training! This role involves retrieving items from elevated storage locations and assisting with general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

Operate various warehouse equipment in accordance with safety guidelines including cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and stretch wrappers.  Store, maintain, stage and transfer ingredients, components, finished goods and supplies to appropriate work areas while ensuring an accurate inventory by completing system transactions accurately via hand-held scanners and reporting discrepancies to the Inventory Coordinator.   Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers and stage appropriately in receiving area.  Maintain proper lot rotation according to FIFO guidelines and coordinate disposal of expired ingredients, returned bulk, and other materials with appropriate department management.  Maintain inside/outside warehouse locations in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices cleanliness and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass Melaleuca forklift operator certification program.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly and consistently over duration of shift.
  • Ability to pull, stretch, bend, and lift regularly and consistently over duration of shift.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills across all levels within organization.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow established operational procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment on a prolonged basis while maintaining safety and quality.
